Miko Fleming is a Japanese American illustrator and Printmaker. She received a BFA in Printmaking from Haverford College in 2024 and is seeking opportunities involving children’s book illustration, particularly picture books, board books, and early readers.

Miko loves creating fun images that tell stories, often inspired by nature, people, animals, and all things that makes everyday life so special. In 2023, she was the lead artist in a group of students who developed ‘Word Wizard’, a fantasy game designed to make studying more fun for English-language students. This experience helped her realize that collaborating with others to produce art for young people was incredibly rewarding and something she wished to pursue in a career. Following this experience, she taught herself paper engineering techniques for her Senior thesis project, where she re-animated her childhood memories through a combination of paper pop-ups and traditional printmaking methods.  

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and two cats Lulu and Guinness. She also loves studying, and teaching herself new skills to continuously improve and diversify her artistic abilities.
